There are a number of low cost shopping cart solutions on the market which enable users to easily set up an ecommerce site. We have used many of these carts and can integrate your desired product if you wish.

Having used many free and low cost shopping carts, we found them lacking in a few areas.

Many carts are hosted solutions. This means when a customer adds a product to their basket, there are taken away from the main site, to a page hosted by the shopping cart.

We believe this is not good for the 'trust factor' of the shopping experience

Another problem with a standard cart, is that any specific features you require may not be available. Shipping calculations is a good example, these can be calculated in a variety of ways, not all of which can be catered for in one cart.

We found the ability to create search engine friendly code with a standard solution was also very difficult.

To overcome these problems, and provide a solution best suited to our clients needs, we wrote our own shopping cart system. It is our preferred method of integration due to the previously mentioned problems with standard carts.

The cart is run on a 128bit SSL connection, which means a padlock symbol appears in the users browser throughout the checkout process.

Our custom cart has a administrator back-end which can be used to add, edit and delete products. It also shows real time information on order history, by integrating with Paypal's IPN system.

In addition to the custom cart, all our ecommerce sites receive a free Google Base XML file. Google Base is the process behind the 'shopping' tab on the Google homepage. This is a great way to get instant customers, as it does not rely on PageRank to achieve high listings.

Also provided with all ecommerce websites is the installment of powerful analytics software which can track customers movements. This can show what stages of the checkout process they get to before making a purchase, or exiting your site. It also give information such as which state/county your visitors are coming from, and what keywords they used to find your site.

The analytics data has improved by using our custom cart, as hosted carts do not permit the required tracking code to be installed.
